PreScreen Phase
Please Note the Times Below.
The Prescreen Phase is a vital step in ensuring all cues meet the necessary standards before they are included in the final submission for Friday’s delivery. During this phase, your cues are reviewed for key technical aspects, including adherence to references, audio quality, no dead air at the start, no clipped beginnings, and proper endings with natural decay. The goal is to catch any issues early, ensuring the submission is polished and ready for the client.
PreScreen Phase
Prescreening Window:
Thursday (After 12pm CST) - Thursday Afternoon/Evening
The prescreen phase helps identify any "common issues" in your cues. If tweaks are needed, you'll receive prescreen notes for adjustments.
This step is essential to ensure your submission meets Bunim’s standards before final delivery. The goal is zero tweaks by the Friday delivery.
Pre-Screen Notes
After listening to your submission, you will receive Pre-Screen Notes via email in an Excel sheet. These notes indicate which cues need tweaks from your batch
NOTE: If you submited multiple cues, and some of your cues aren’t listed, it means they have passed the prescreen and will be submitted during Friday’s delivery. The goal is to ensure all submissions meet Bunim's standards with no tweaks required by Friday.
Pre-Screen Folder
Once tweaks are made per the Pre-Screen Notes, place the updated cues in the Prescreen Folder within your main project folder, organized in a new Sub-Folder with the current batch number for that week.
Important: Tweaked cues Do NOT require a “v2” suffix, as these are minor adjustments, not Revisions.
Revisions are reserved only for Bunim's feedback to avoid confusion.
PreScreen Folder Structure Example:
BDDU (Main Project Folder)
Prescreen (Main Pre-Screen Folder)
Batch 08 (A Sub Folder with week’s Batch Number)
Bones_Gilde_GF_BDDU_Comedy (this is the Tweaked Cue) - NOT a Revision, Do NOT add "v2" behind it
Final Collection of PreScreen and Submissions
Tweaked cues must be submitted by Friday 12pm CST (HARD STOP).
Late submissions may miss the final delivery and will have to wait until the next batch submission.
Important Note: Ensure all tweaks are completed and placed in the Prescreen Folder (within a separate folder per the batch number) before the Friday 12pm CST cut-off.
If they are not in the folder by this time, they may not be transferred to the Final Friday Delivery and will need to wait for the next week’s submission.
This phase is especially crucial for newer contributors to these projects. If you skip the prescreen, we cannot guarantee your cue(s) will make it into the final Friday submission.
Final Warning: - Missing this step or failing to meet the required standards could result in your cues being left out of the overall submission, as we align strictly with Bunim’s quality expectations. Please ensure your submissions are sent within the specified time frame to allow for this essential review process.
