With over 27 years in the entertainment industry, Gilde Flores has built a career at the intersection of creativity and innovation, spanning thousands of placements across television, film, trailers, games, and campaigns. He served as composer for an HBO Max limited series that reached the Emmy ballot and contributed to a Grammy-nominated album, milestones that reflect both his range and his longevity in the industry.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist who began his career as a touring musician, Gilde went on to work as a sound engineer and ultimately as a composer and producer. His years on the road exposed him to countless styles and cultures, shaping his ability to move authentically across genres.
He approaches music like a chef approaches a dish: understanding the individual ingredients, how they complement each other, and how to blend them into something that elevates the whole. That versatility has defined his credits, scoring to picture and providing additional composition across thousands of projects in television, film, video games, advertising, and trailer campaigns, making him a trusted composer in the world of visual media.
He has collaborated with Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers and industry luminary Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, experiences that shaped both his versatility and his approach to building innovative production ecosystems.
Today, Gilde channels his industry experience together with his academic studies in mental health at South Plains and Texas Tech University, and his current master’s work in Music Business at Berklee, into building Paint the Noise (PTN), a production ecosystem that doubles as a learning ground for creators.
Designed to function like a university in practice, PTN equips emerging talent with real-world opportunities, mentorship, and the skills to grow sustainable careers in music while emphasizing both creative excellence and personal growth.
In addition to leading PTN, Gilde serves on the Recording Academy’s Education, Songwriters & Composers, and Visual Media Committees, and mentors students through its Grammy U program. His work reflects a career that balances artistry with innovation, and success with service: building not just music for the screen, but pathways for those who will create it next.
